Torticollis

Torticollis diagnosed when baby can’t turn their head in one direction, often we find that the root cause is the malposition of the bones of the neck, often C1 the Atlas.  They may have a tight muscle on one side. This can be seen easily by looking straight at the baby and seeing a head tilt and or turn to one side. Many things can be a contributing factor such as position in the womb, difficult or stressful birth, c-section, vacuum, or forceps delivery or neck or spinal tensions at birth.
